The Wall Street Journal has appointed Georgi Kantchev as a Middle East Correspondent.
Formerly a Berlin-based reporter for the newspaper, he will now be covering the intersection of geopolitics, economics and energy in the region.
Kantchev, who also worked for the newspaper in Moscow and London, was part of a WSJ team that were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting in 2025.
