Mamoon Sbeih has announced he is stepping down as Chief International Business Development Officer and MENA Chairman of global communication consultancy APCO.
He was head of JiWin Public Relations, which was acquired by APCO in 2010 and has since grown into one of the largest and most influential strategic communication advisory practices in the MENA region.
“From a single office in Dubai, we expanded across the region to Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Manama, and Amman, building a platform that today stands among the most respected in our industry,” he said.
“Along the way, I have had the privilege of leading some of the most complex and demanding projects one can experience. From country positioning, to building strategic communication capacity for entire governments, to helping global businesses navigate the intricacies of the MENA region, to managing some of the most challenging crises, all the way to creating new and exciting brands and building some of the most intelligent AI tools in our industry.
“We launched initiatives that pushed our profession forward, forged partnerships with leading academic institutions, and earned recognition as one of the most dynamic and fastest growing regions in our global network. These are just a few highlights among countless others.
“Beyond the work itself, what I will carry with me most are the people. I have had the honour of working with and learning from colleagues, clients and partners across our global network. A special thanks to the remarkable team we built here in APCO MENA. As I turn the page, I do so with pride and gratitude, and also with excitement for what comes next!”
