Dana Alomar has been promoted to Future Editor at The National.
Formerly a Technology Reporter at the Abu Dhabi-based newspaper, she will now be covering 'news shaping the future'.
“After an exciting year reporting on technology and innovation, my focus is now expanding to everything shaping the future,” she said. “I’ll be exploring how global shifts and emerging ideas are redefining the industries we rely on, and the way we live, work, and connect.”
Areas of coverage will include the future of industries like artificial intelligence, climate change, space and mobility, as well as the future of social issues such as social media and behaviour.
Cody Sigel Combs, who was previously Future Editor, relocated to the USA in April, and is now Washington DC-based Technology Policy Reporter.
