Manal AlBarakati has joined Semafor as Riyadh-based Saudi Arabia Reporter.
The US-based news, politics, business and technology site launched a Gulf edition in September last year.
“Manal brings deep regional expertise and years of experience from Arab News, where she served as AI Editor, and previously as Business and Economics Editor,” a spokesman said.
“She will play a vital role in covering the Gulf’s largest economy as part of our growing global team.”
