Jon Gambrell has joined The Wall Street Journal as Deputy Middle East Bureau Chief.
He spent the past 20 years with Associated Press, most recently as News Director for the Gulf and Iran, as well as serving as Senior Gulf Correspondent in Dubai, Middle East Desk Editor in Cairo, Chief Correspondent in Lagos, and a Reporter in Little Rock, Arkansas.
“I've admired and read The Journal for years for their smart analysis and news-breaking coverage,” he said. “I am looking forward to meeting and collaborating with their fantastic journalists and editors.”
