Dubai-based independent magazine and media platform YUNG has appointed Farah Kreidieh as Editor in Chief.
Founded in 2022 by Sandra Yeghiazarian, YUNG was created as an independent voice emerging from the Arab world, with a global outlook across fashion, music, art and culture.
Kreidieh, who was formerly Editor in Chief at Marie Claire Arabia, has more than two decades of experience across publishing, fashion and luxury in the Middle East.
As Kreidieh takes over editorial leadership, Yeghiazarian will continue as Founder and CEO, focusing on the wider growth of the company, the development of new divisions, strategic partnerships and the continued expansion of YUNG beyond publishing.
“I built YUNG independently in the UAE because I believed there was space for a title from this region with its own voice, perspective and cultural point of view,” she said.
“Bringing someone of Farah’s calibre and experience into that vision feels like a defining moment in our growth. What makes this appointment particularly meaningful is seeing an editor with Farah’s experience choose a homegrown, independent title for her next chapter. It says something about how far regional publishing has come and, importantly, where it is going.”
Under Kreidieh’s editorial leadership, YUNG will continue to champion established and emerging voices from across the Arab world and its diaspora, while strengthening its international creative network and position at the intersection of fashion, music, art and contemporary culture.
“I’m incredibly excited to join YUNG and begin this next chapter," she said. "What excites me most is the opportunity to lead a homegrown, independent UAE title at a moment when the creative voice of this region has never felt more relevant globally. YUNG has built a distinct identity, one that is rooted here yet ambitious and international in its outlook.
"I see tremendous potential in what Sandra and the team have created, and I’m looking forward to building on that foundation together: strengthening YUNG’s editorial voice, championing the talent and ideas shaping our culture, and taking the platform confidently into its next phase.”
