Dubai TV has launched a weekly business programme covering economic developments in the emirate.
Eqtisad 101 (Economy 101) is presented by Talal Mohammed at 21.00 (UAE time) on Sundays, and forms part of Dubai Media Incorporated’s strategy to support the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the size of the economy over the next 10 years.
The 45-minute programme combines field reports, graphics and live interviews to provide a comprehensive overview of Dubai's dynamic economy with focus on advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, FinTech, cryptocurrencies, e-commerce, and the digital economy.
Sarah Al Jarman, Head of Television and Radio Channels at Dubai Media Incorporated, said the new program embodies the organisation's commitment to leveraging media as a positive force that contributes to serving society and the economy.
"Through this program, we aim to provide high-quality economic content that keeps pace with Dubai's rapid digital transformation and highlights success stories that reflect the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in the emirate,” she said. “We believe that the economy is no longer merely about numbers and indicators, but rather an integrated intellectual system based on knowledge and creativity."
