A documentary film marking the 50th anniversary of Arab News has been shortlisted for an award from the Association for International Broadcasting (AIB).
Rewriting Arab News tells the story of transformation inside the newsroom at the Saudi Arabia-based English-language newspaper, as well as reforms across the country.
The documentary has been shortlisted in the 'Art and Culture Video' category for this year’s AIB Awards, which recognise the highest standards in journalism and factual productions across video, audio and digital platforms.
Qatar-based broadcasters Al Jazeera English, Al Jazeera Arabic and Alaraby Television Network, as well as The National’s Beyond the Headlines podcast, have also been shortlisted for awards.
Winners will be announced in London on 14 November.
