Abdulla Elhamy departs as Editor in Chief of Al Watan

Abdulla Elhamy has departed as Editor in Chief of Bahraini newspaper Al Watan.

He first worked for the daily as a Journalist from November 2011 to March 2013, returning as Editor in Chief in November 2023.

“Today, I bid farewell to Al Watan for the second time in my professional journey,” he said. “It was where I began, learned, and wrote my very first news story. And today, I leave it as Editor-in-Chief, filled with pride for all that Allah enabled me to achieve.”
